All Floridians need Clean Water

Creating a fundamental Right to Clean and Healthy Waters fixes a systemic flaw in our current system, which has allowed special interests to influence Florida's water policy.  Decades of dysfunction have thwarted the will of the People, despite public comments, communications, protests and lawsuits to protect our waters.   Florida waters in general have only gotten more degraded, more impaired, with more harmful algal blooms and mortality events, hurting more Floridians and their business and economic interests.

This is why Floridians affiliated with all parties have voiced support for this initiative.

It is a rare occurrence, but indicative of how important -- how essential and urgent it is to correct our course for Florida's beautiful waters and the lives they sustain.

Here are a few excerpts taken from party platforms underlying important features of Florida's Right to Clean Water:

(To note, these excerpts from party platforms do not indicate endorsement from the parties themselves, or party-affiliated organizations.  They illustrate the fact that all parties, on paper, should support this initiative.)
